Popular Odia playback singer Humane Sagar passed away on 17 November 2025, at AIIMS Bhubaneswar, in a deeply saddening turn of events. 

Cause of Death

His death was due to multi-organ dysfunction syndrome (MODS), compounded by other serious health issues. 

Medical reports mentioned acute-on-chronic liver failure, bilateral pneumonia, dilated cardiomyopathy, and severe respiratory failure. 

According to hospital authorities, despite intensive treatment and advanced life support, he couldn’t recover. 

His time of death was recorded as 9:08 PM. 

Reaction & Mourning

The news has sent shockwaves through the Odia music industry and among his fans. 

Odisha’s Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, expressed his deep sorrow, calling his passing “an irreparable loss.” 

Leader of Opposition Naveen Patnaik also mourned, noting that Sagar’s soulful music touched countless lives. 

Life & Legacy

Born on 25 November 1990 in Titlagarh, Bolangir district, Sagar came from a musical family. 

His rise to fame began when he won Voice of Odisha (Season 2) in 2012. 

He had a prolific career in the Odia music industry, singing for many films and albums. 

Sagar is survived by his wife, Shriya Mishra, and their daughter.
